What We Offer

Welfare Services

Our Zakaat and welfare fund is managed with strict accountability, ensuring all funds are distributed within the year they are collected.

Monthly Family Assistance
Over 500 families receive monthly support covering food parcels, rent, electricity and medical expenses — targeted at unemployed or economically disadvantaged households.
Bursaries & Education
Annual scholarships for tertiary students and sponsorships for approximately 200 students pursuing Islamic education at madrasas, with preference for fields like education, science and agriculture.
Relief Programmes
Coordinating local and international relief efforts in response to natural disasters, community crises and calamities affecting Muslims at home and abroad.
Burial Services
Our Lenasia branch operates a 24-hour facility offering ghusl (ritual washing), legal documentation, mortuary services and kafan (burial shroud) arrangements for the community.
Special Fund for Widows & Divorcees
Reserved assistance for widows and divorcees experiencing financial hardship — providing targeted support during some of life's most difficult transitions.
Cash & Utility Grants
Direct financial assistance including cash grants, rent payments, utility bill relief and medical fee coverage for qualifying individuals and families.

How to Apply

Applications are assessed by our Welfare Committee. All applicants must submit supporting documents to enable a fair and thorough assessment.

Application Process

Contact our Welfare Department by phone or email, or visit our Fordsburg offices in person.

Gather your supporting documents: ID, proof of residence, payslips or affidavit of unemployment, and bank statements (last 3 months).

Submit your application to the Welfare Committee for assessment. All applications are treated with strict confidentiality.

The committee will review your case and notify you of the outcome. Assistance is subject to fund availability and assessed need.

Burial Services

Lenasia Burial Centre

Our Lenasia branch operates a 24-hour burial facility providing comprehensive Islamic funeral services to the community at all hours, including weekends and public holidays.

Services include: Ghusl (ritual washing), legal death documentation, mortuary services and kafan (burial shroud) preparation.
