Our Mission
Spreading the Light of Islam
The Dawah wal Irshaad department enables Islamic scholars to guide the Muslim community using the most powerful rays of light they carry — the Noble Qur'an and the Sunnah of the Prophet ﷺ.
We serve all community members without expectation of recognition, driven by the conviction that every person deserves access to authentic Islamic knowledge and guidance. Our work spans outreach to Muslims and non-Muslims alike, through structured programmes, literature and community events.

Monthly Publications
Monthly posters distributed to mosques across South Africa, addressing seasonal topics, contemporary Islamic issues and community guidance for congregants and Imams.
Workshops & Lectures
Structured programmes covering marriage and family matters, Zakaat, Hajj preparation, spiritual development, youth engagement and Qur'anic recitation — held nationally.
Literature Distribution
Free distribution of books introducing Islam in English, Zulu and Sotho for non-Muslims, as well as Qur'an translations, Hajj guidance packs and marital education materials.
New Muslim Support
The Tayseer Series — a seven-book collection providing new Muslim converts with a structured introduction to Islamic beliefs, practice and community life.
Youth Engagement
Tailored programmes addressing the specific challenges faced by Muslim youth, including identity, peer pressure and practical Islamic guidance for the modern world.
Scholar Programmes
Dedicated events and training for Imams, scholars and community leaders to enhance their capacity to serve their communities with knowledge and wisdom.
